I am just starting to work on my 1970 spider and am wondering will unleaded fuel work just fine?

Yup, just fine. There has been much discussion about lead additives...... Personal choice. They do have a tendency to like the higher octane numbers.

Dont overlook the ethanol in today's gasoline. It is a solvent that can attack old fuel lines and system residue.
Its a good idea to replace rubber fuel lines and make sure you have a good filter installed.
