I was asking the same exact question... the best place to look for auto classes would just be the local JCs, other than that, there aren't many auto schools here in San Diego

the JCs are alot cheaper. I had a UTI grad for a year and wasn't overly impressed with his knowledge (or lack of it)

Thank you all for your input. Im looking for a school i can use my GI Bill at (as its about to expire) So the school would have to have an an automotive program/degree/certificate in order for the GI bill to cover. Thats what im having a hard time finding in the San Diego area. So the most dedicated schools i can find, the closest to San Diego are Wyotech and UTI around LA. Wyotech at Long Beach, and UTI at Rancho Cucamonga. Wyotech seems like the better school, but their Longbeach campus doesn't offer their full program. UTI seems second best but offers a larger program... At least thats what ive come up with so far.

My Wife used to live around San Diego and we both would like to move back there. So thats why im kinda tied to that area, or close to it so she can job search from there.

In More Fiat news, my son and i should have the Spider on the road this weekend. The steerings done, Ill be working on Rehabing the header bow the next couple days Its a Bit dented and a bit bent, but at least its got some rust holes. This should tax my non existent metal working, and welding skills to their fullest.

some of the JC's offer AA degrees in auto technology. In this area both Chaffey College and Citrus College have complete programs. I would think your GI bill would cover that
