Hello.
Question: Is it worth keeping the wire wheels with knock offs
on my 76 Fiat Spider ? Are they orginal equipment ?

Wire wheels can be a pain in the neck (and elsewhere). If they're true and all spokes are tight they have the advantage of a sporty appearance. If they are not true you might take them to a motorcycle shop to be trued up. However, no matter what condition they're in, they are a pain to keep clean. I'd prefer disc wheels.

are they really mounted with knock-offs? Or are they just center pieces and still use lug nuts? I've never seen a Spider with knock-off type wires. With the cost of them, I'd sell them and buy a new set of wheels. It really comes down to whether you like the look or not. Some people think wires look more appropriate on English cars.

Of course, as mentioned already, it could also depend on the condition of the wheels

These wheels are true wire spokes with a large spin off center.

I had them check , they are in tune. I even have a 5th one fpr a spare.

But i Think i,ll trade them off. One curb and that would be it.

you might be surprised at how strong they are, after all they are steel. Alloy wheels are pretty brittle and tend to break when brushed into a curb
