Hi all,
Is there an aftermarket or other option for installing newer restraints in a 1980 FI 2000? I'm looking for a regular passengar car look/feel with an inertial system, not a full racing harness.
Thanks!
Bill

Thanks XJ! Exactly what I was looking for! Did you get a custom belt since there is no door post?xjware wrote:I just put some in from here and like them. Much better than my torn non working ones,

The Socal speed shop in central phoenix carries a variety of seatbelts. Look closely at the bolt plates as they may be reversed for what you need. I found a shop that reversed mine. They did it as a favor as i was a good customer. Not sure they would do it for anyone off the street. I think the guys at Socal had somebody they knew.

Re: Seat Belts
I was very disappointed with the seat belts from seatbeltplanet. I can only pull the belts about 6" and the safety catches. Both sides have to be played with to get them extended enough to reach the latch on the tunnel. I called them and they said that is the new government spec. I ended up putting the original belts back in the car.
