This weekend was the fall Texas Hill Country tour. This year we had a leisurely drive covering only 80 miles on Saturday. We had 9 cars in the group with people coming from Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Fort Worth.
It rained in the morning, but then it was cloudy and warm. The roads were wet in spots and there was an S-curve where several drivers started sliding and one spun his Spider. The right front corner clipped a guardrail putting a dent under the headlight. Unfortunate, but could have been worse!
First we went to a state park, had an outdoor lunch under the trees and then went for a walk. There was a stream and some falls, but the water level was very low.
Later we went to a winery to sample some wines and ended the day with a nice dinner in a restaurant.
Here is a video of us crossing a small stream. Skip the first 10 seconds, I was taking the video while rolling downhill so it was shaky at first.
