1980 124 Spider Had a '76 18 years ago and sold it when I had my son.
Regretted it ever since. It was immaculate.
Well, the new one is far from that and will need some TLC.
Paint, tranny work hoses, brakes... I am going to try and at least get a few drives
out of it this summer.
My kids are very anxious for a ride.
Looking forward to grabbing as much info as I can.
Thanks!

Re: Fiat in Northeast Pennsylvania
It is a recurring theme. We got married with a '79 in 1980, my practical wife thought it wasn't a very good family car, so we sold it. Then waited nine years to have the first child! I missed my spider for 26 years. But I'm sure making up for lost time now. It's getting so that going to work is interupting my driving time.
Good luck with your replacement, hope you get it in as good a shape as your '76 was.

Welcome! Same story with me. Sold my 1968 Fiat in 1986 when my firstborn was born and bought my present one in 1995. You're very close to the 25th annual Fiat Freakout. It would be worth your while to make plans for the Poconos July 11-13 to meet many of us and check out all the Fiats. If you're interested, you can find info here: http://www.flu.org

Re: Fiat in Northeast Pennsylvania
NOT the story for me. I never heard of Fiats before i saw and bought my first one in 1995. NO looking back, and we own two spiders now. Only winter storage space prohibits me from buying some other fine example (like a well behaved X, or a 124 coupe).

Thanks for all the encouraging words.
I am looking forward to getting more info on the Fiat Freakout at Pocono.
I am very close to there. As a matter of fact, I am the owner of a sign company that
does some work for the track.
I am heading to http://www.flu.org right now.

Re: Fiat in Northeast Pennsylvania
even if your Spider is not up to the trip, please stop by. there's no cost involved for the gawkers and general public.
