Engine Mount Torque

Post by aj81spider »

I am slowly getting to the point of re-installing my engine. Last step before re-installing was to change the engine mounts. Two questions:

> It looks to me like I shouldn't tighten up the engine mounts until the engine is attached as the engine mounting hole is a hole, while the cross member has a slot. Am I correct in this?

> More importantly, what should I torque the nuts to? I can't find that in any of the manuals I have.

Thanks for the help

I did the mounts and the brackets after I moved the engine back in so I had more space in the bay. I don't thing people use a torque wrench on that, I did not.
