When was the last time you saw a new timing belt with a FIAT logo on a Spider?
I just took a closer look at that brittle belt that slipped on me two month ago an I noticed the fiat logo on it.
My car is an 81 and I have a peace of paper that shows it had 87k miles on it in 1986. I bought the car in 2007 with 96k miles and I would not be surprised if the belt was installed in the mid 80th.
If that is the case than that would make the belt around 30 years old
When was the last time...?

i have about 20 NOS fiat timing belts and i've been using them regularly past few years, on my cars and customers cars. no problems whatsoever

Wow, I just bought a new belt because I did not want to use the "OLD" (new in the box) belt that has been siting in my shelve for six years.
Anyway, that Fiat belt was on the car for 30 years and everybody here always wants to scare you into replacing it.
Kidding...I will for sure change it before its doe in the future.
