Hi, My Mechanic has informed me that I will need a special tool for him to change the timing belt?
Not being mechanically minded myself, although I can proudly announce I can recognize a wrench at 20ft.
If I do need a special tool, where can I procure such an item, and secondly is there any info on changing the timing belt?
Many thanks
Ian
Are special tools needed for a timing belt on a 1974?

"Special tool" is a 17 mm a 13mm and a 19mm wrench or socket... that's about it...
If the metal shrouds are still on then a 10mm socket and the crank nut has to come off to get at the bolt behind it holding the metal shroud.
As mentioned by Keith...ask around for someone that has experience with older European type cars, or if another fiat guy is nearby, perhaps a box of cold installation fluid could be used to assist in some assistance.
