Overfill Differential?

Post by tartan18 »

A year ago I had my differential rebuilt as it had a major leak. It is a 4.3 Even with the rebuilding (new pinion shaft and seal) it sill had about a drop of fluid every day. Yesterday I jacked my car up (a 1975) and squirted in a half quart of 80/90 EP (until it began to flow out of the fill hole. Now I am wondering if I overfilled it because I only jacked the car up from the rear. Is this something I should be concerned over?
