Periodical Sputtering

Changed my Thermo Timer switch.

Now at 80km per (in 4th) and at 120km per (4th or 5th) the engine sputters.

Once I accelerate the engine seems to run fine until I drop my speed again.

Any thoughts.

I had similar issues which got to be unbearable a few days ago with gross hesitation / sputtering in rpm mid-range and problem solved with the help of narfire and RRoller123. Problem apparently due to poor electrical contact of contact sliders on thin film resistive material. Fix was to adjust the contact points to clean thin film real estate.
