I've been looking for a coolant neck for my 1974 1800 engine. It's the style that doesn't have the "T" on the end, with an internal thermostat - just a hose to the radiator and a hose back. I've been unsuccessful and am debating changing the style to the newer one with the "T" and an external thermostat.
I posed the question in "Parts Wanted" on the pro's and con's of that.

Any thoughts on whether this is a good or bad idea? I'm definitely torn.

Re: Coolant Neck Conversion
I'm pretty sure I have the non-Tee (single) outlet.
I'd want $29+shipping. Please email me if you are interested.
The external style is better at keeping the pump from cavitating, but I've only seen that problem on 2 liter engines, not 1800s.
