Should I use a sealer for a new oil pan gasket? If so what is the consensus?
Thx

I used gasket adhesive on one side. The issue with cork gaskets is they want to move around. The adhesive keeps it in position while tightening and still allows the removal of the pan without trashing the gasket.

Image Image I used aviation permatex and some RTV silicone. The crank seal caps were a little high, so I filed them to the same height as the block.

Image Headwork by Jon Logan. Aluminum pulleys and adjustable cam gears by Jason Miller. Intake cam via Midwest Bayless. Still on the stand.
