overheating battery
overheating battery
Second reply here, and appreciate any help i can get. i have a 77 fiat 124 sport spider, and the battery is overheating. It doesn't overheat unless the car is running, leading me to believe it isn't a short in the wiring. I do have a 14 volt alternator in it, but have talked to several people that said that should be fine as long as my regulator is working right. I really don't want to buy a new alternator unless i have to, as opposed to just getting a new regulator. Any thoughts??
Re: overheating battery
put a voltmeter on the battery and see what the actual running voltage is
