brake reservoirs

hello guys

I spent a lot of time scratching the engine bay of my 76 behind and under the brake fluid reservoirs, to remove rust, and to paint this part again.
I also cleaned and painted the metal plate that goes around theses reservoirs. It was nice.
After a few days of use, I can see that the paint all around the reservoirs is starting to schrink and my work is to be done again.

any idea of the cause ?
I did not detect any overflow of brake fluid, nor any leak, and I can assure you that I filled the reservoirs very carefully, without any overflow.
I did not race the car so I don't think I took the fluid to the boiling temp.
it looks like the reservoirs are sweating fluid.

can it be that the reservoirs get porous with age ?

if so, I have seen at the vendor's sites late reservoirs (all in one).
can these be mounted with the same mounting blade as the older ones, or do I also need to buy the late mounting plate ?

I'd clean the reservoirs with brake cleaner before installing the retaining plate. The plate should be cleaned with brake cleaner, wire wheeled, cleaned, primed, painted and then I clear coat most of my parts I've painted.
I'm thinking residual brake fluid is causing your issues

The late single piece reservoir can be installed in place of the two separate ones.
