Beek, did you check any of the exhaust manifold studs or bolt holes?

I'm installing the exhaust and the 2 upper studs are pretty loose. I'll be pulling those out and re sealing them so as not to end up with an oil leak. It looks as if there was a previous leak there.
Also looks like a thread repair was done on at least one of the lower bolt hols. (?yrs ago)
Who ever the previous mechanic was isn't getting any Kudos from me
All the bolts on this entire engine where barely more than hand tight. I would wager to say I could have pulled the head with just 1/4" drive tools (head bolts excluded).

Aaron,
Sorry for the highjack but I just thought I'd introduce myself since we probably have the only Fiats on Wilmington. I've got an 1981, modified to carbureted. If your car is white, then I saw you drive by just a few weeks ago.
I'm on this forum often...too often! as my car is my passion and there is always something to be done. There is a Fiat "guy" in our area but I prefer to do my own work. Feel free to contact me if you need to take a comparison look at things, if you discover some local expert on something, or if you just want to compare notes. Hope to see you around the island sometime!
