Hello, new to this site. Found a 76 Fiat Spider in a barn for 100.00.
And now have a million question. Body a little rough but interior and convertable roof like new. Got it started after draining the fuel and adding new fuel with leaded addatives. Replaced the electric fuel and filter . It starts up but the fuel pump cuts out. Hot wire and it keeps running.

Could it be a relay or low oil pressure 15-20 lbs.?

congrats on the buy! The Fiat fuel pump is not controlled by oil pressure like late model FI cars. Check the fuse box since the car has been sitting. The contacts in the fuse box tend to get loose and corroded.
Make sure you inspect the timing belt if you don't plan on replacing it. Your engine is a contact engine; it WILL bend valves if the belt fails

Thanks Mark,
I, ve bought every manual I could find, and it seems simple to replace the belt , with little cost.

I ,m going to remove the weber carb and have it rebuilt also.

Need to replace the rotors on brakes and pads. Master cylinder needs replaced or a
rebuild kit.
Advance Auto is getting me the parts at cost if I display it at their store.

I'd almost think you get a commission on sales through those vendors. Posting their info when it's not asked for or solicited sort of flaunts the guidelines on this forum. JMO, but vendors aren't supposed to solicit. I know when I've replied to posts seeking parts, those posts have been deleted. So it doesn't seem quite fair to constantly promote vendors that don't support this site either thru advertising or advice

hey mark hows it going. just found another cheap spider. went to see an old friend, his neighbor moved, she had an 81 spider sitting under a tarp for years. think i told u about ths car 4 years ago. she didnt want to move it so she sold it to my friends dad. he has had it for over a year and done nothing with it. i told him id give his dad back his two hundred and haul it away. he is going to try and convince his dad. the car is silver. straight ,from what i can see. all complete, fuel injected, air conditioning and aluminum wheels. needs lots of cosmetics, but no big deal really.
