Hello!

Hi! I just got a 1980 Spider 2000! Love it! It has some rust issues and a dragging driver door. Are the doors interchagable with other years? I found some doors but they were for a 76 and a 72 Spider. We are newbies at this so any info would be great. :?

Welcome! I like the info here, so I'm sure you will too!

As for the doors, I'm not positive, though I know many here will know.

I believe they are interchangeable, but the door handles will be different.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your new Spider. Late 78 and newer would be a fit for your '80 I think. The earlier doors have different handles. Has your hinge support cracked?

gotta be 78+ for the door to fit according to my information. Previous to that, you are dealing with a non-recessed door handle. Sagging door is prolly a cracked hinge mount.

Oh, and HI! Welcome.

If you don't find a latter-model door there locally, I may have one here in California for you to consider. Contact me if interested at ventura_ace@juno.com or 805-338-1767.
