On the way to work I start having this concerning amount of smoke coming from the hood only.
It seems to be consistantly coming from below the heat shield and also the bend of exhaust that starts to level the ground( this bend would smoke when I have a coolant leak on it, but my hoses are tight now. I dont think its a coolant leak.)
Seems I missing a bolt that goes to the exhaust manifold, but the seal is tight and secure other than that.
It could be crack in exhausr? Another leak( but it seemed to check.) Tends to smoke more on acceleration. Rougher to start without hitting the gas a bit.
Dont know where to start. Insight?

The #2 and #4 exhaust manifold bolts go into an oil return passage. If either of those is missing a lot of oil will leak out, likely on the exhaust.

Re: Smoke near exhaus.Diagnostic help.
Just checked after letting in run a bit, and I did see a few drops of unmistakably oil underneath the exhaust. I do believe that is my problem! 2nd from the left, yes?
Whats the best way to find a replacement? Also is there a way to patch it in the meantime, so I can continue to drive her?
Also I noticed I have some air pushing out an old welding seal on the exhaust. So it must have cracked. Should I just take that too a shop?

If a stud is missing then likely you can buy a replacement at any hardware store. The thread size is 8x1.25mm and you need one about 45mm long, although it could be longer, maybe even a bit shorter.
Not sure about the crack, likely an exhaust shop needs to look at it.
