AT 4000 RPM I get a pretty big rattle in the stickshift. I got under the car and took of the plate and inspected the nut holing the stick in and it was tight. I recently had the Ring & Pinion replaced in the rear end and I lost 4th gear.
Could either of these be the cause?
Any suggestions on how best to track it down?
Thanks

Re: Rattle in Stick
it is most likely the bushings in the shifter extension. this is the chrome part that sticks over the shaft from the transmission, there are 3 rubber bushings and 2 nylon pieces inside
