Socket for Crank Nut Found!

Post by Dougieb »

Hi,

I am adjusting the valves on my 1972 Spider and was looking around for a 38mm socket for the crank nut. I did not have much luck. All the ones I found were 3/4" drive and deep..... too deep to fit in between the crank nut and the front sway bar. I happened to stop by NAPA and found this one. It is 1 1/2" but that is the same as 38mm. Because it is 1/2" drive and not a deep well, I have plenty of room to get on the crank nut and turn the motor to my little heart's delight. Only $14 including tax! Thought I would share this source for a very useful tool.

Thanks to all who have helped me so far.
