Hi everyone.
I have read most all the posts in the fiat catagory and it has helped me alot in my restoration project of my fiat. I will attach some pictures soon. I bought it for $600 from my son's friend. with no rust and just minor replacements. :D

welcome, that's a good buy on a car if it only needed minor restoration. Where are you and the car located?

I live in Allegan, Michigan. At the moment I am waiting on a speedo cable and rubber set for the windows, from IAP. The speedo cable is broke off at the speedometer gauge and was noticed when I took the dash board out to attempt to fix the clock. I found that one of the gears on the clock was lying sideways and the little tip was broke off the gear. I tried to fix but the gear eneded up breaking apart, Very brittle.
If anyone knows were I can get a used or even broken clock to use the tan gear out of it, Please let me know.

i just fought with my speedo cable last night....for the third time in less than a year. it is a little frustrating.

By the way, fuel injected or carbureted?

Hey Richard,

You ever get over to the openhouse at the Fennville winery?

The West Michigan chapter of FLU (http://flumichigan.italiancarclub.com/) was there last year for our June event.

My wife and I will be back there again this June 28th with our '76 Spider. Maybe we can meetup there...

Welcome Richard. I'm just north of you in Ada, and I also own a 1980 Spider. Out of curiousity, what color is yours? How many miles on it? Got any pictures?

Hello back to everyone!!My fiat is a 1980 spider I think the original miles would be around 78,000 I don't believe it would be 1,78000 because of the good shap it is in. the inside carpet needs replaced along with the driver upper door vynal. The inside color is blue and the outside is silver but the paint under this is a dark blue and the sticker in the trunk states graigo metal which I think is a Silver.
I just replaced the speedo cable this weekend boy that was kinda tuff. The new one on the speed gauge side was not the same as what came off. the new plastic clip is rounded in the bottom and the original is squared off at the bottom, so I modified my gauge end. and had to sand down the end that goes into the tranny. But this is suppose to be the correct one according to IAP. Now I have to tackle the rubber window trim this week.
