Shouldn't this be connected part deux

Hi guys - more sorting out efforts here. I've plugged the open line on the Weber, but noticed this on the manifold.

I don't see this is my manual (may be just missing it). Anyone know off hand what this fitting is for if it should be re-connected or plugged?

that is the thermal vacuum switch for the egr. That's not the original switch for that location though
