I just realized after getting my car back together that something isnt operating as it was before I started the work.
At cold start, theres no fast idle. I think maybe the electric choke isnt operating as it should... I wonder if it has to do with the little springs/linkages etc. Perhaps I re-assembled something incorrectly. The car starts and runs but the idle when cold is very very low...
any ideas? the carb is the 32/36 dfev and it was functioning properly before I did the manifold swap. I did fiddle with the linkage for a long time before getting it to the point where both barrels are opening fully and on re-assembly i recall having a tough time getting a small "pin" to stay engaged in the throttle linkage. i think that pin connected it to the choke assembly or something.
something "different"...

Believe the DFEV has an electric choke ... Correct ? Would check on the connection / wiring.

if its an electric choke th it should be closed all the time till power is present to heat up the internal spring and open the choke. May just need adjustment. When cold loosen outer choke cover screws and rotate till choke just closes. Tighte up and check for power at wire once started. If good power then wait and choke should open,
