I agree with Rodman and the others. if it is for a specific year and model it should fit. not everyone has access to a muffler shop and tools to cut a new part. if ands can make a bolt on part why can't Vic.

Primarily a 124 system but it was cobbled together with different size of pipes, some being undersized.

So the entire system is not 2 1/4"?

So then what are our choices for a 2" or 2 1/4" system? I know Mark has one that I REALLY like, but I can't afford it. Are there any other options?

The center pipe, muffler and pipe over the the axle are 2.25 but the down pipe from the header is 1.75 and the header pipe outlet is 1.5. An option would be to get the header you like and the muffler and then have a shop build one. I don't know the price but it couldn't be more than what I paid... psg

The installation was not easy but i was able to install it. The worst part was fitting the headers to the 2-1 pipe.

I agree, it just didn't line up correctly until I created a slip joint which joined everything together in a reasonable fashion. psg

Just an update to my performance exhaust. I really tired of the loud exhaust, given this is not a race track car (would have sounded great in that setting.)

I purchased from Vick, and with relative ease, installed their glass pack resonator. It calmed the, brap, sound to a bit of a growl. It really sounds good at all RPMS. It is not docile but the obnoxious factor is gone. All that was needed was a, Sawzall, marker and a wrench, didn't even need a measuring tape but used one for the measure twice cut once factor. psg

Not to beat a dead horse (too late) but I just recently had my po cobbled together exhaust system break just ahead of my front resonator. I went to a local shop and had them do a custom system from the down pipe back. Have a front resonator, rear baffle muffler and it sounds great. Two inch pipe, no more rattles, custom fit for a little over $300. Some jobs are best done by experts. Just sayin.

Very true, but I think its important to have a solid price before agreeing to the work. I was so fed up with the noise level I just dropped it off and said fix it. Resonator $95, muffler $175, misc parts $25 and 2hrs labor. After taxes it was about $500.00. But to be fair, I was across the street having breakfast at McDonalds enjoying the morning with my son instead of burning the day off under the car. I was really happy with the sound after that. Was definitely worth the cost, but I couldn't hide my sticker shock considering they were modifying an existing exhaust system.
