Timmig adjustment

I removed the distributor when I pulled the engine. My understand once you at 1 TDC the dizzy points too number 4 plug?

The driver side cam looks to be off on tooth.. Or is just me?

Should point to #4 wire on the disty cap I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

to adjust the cam wheel, your smallest increment is from the front edge of one tooth to the front edge of the adjacent tooth. If you look at the picture, it looks like it will make your error worse in the other direction. I have found the belt does not allow you to align the cams perfectly. I think you've got it as close as it gets.
Yes, the rotor needs to be making contact with the #4 plug lug in the cap.

Yes your intake is close. I don't know if taking it off and trying again is going to get any closer. perhaps Santa might bring some adjustable cam wheels...
Not sure if your dist. will have it , but on some there is a very small recess/nick in the casting on the backside where the cap will sit. If you can line up the back of the rotor with this, I find it is as close to the contact conecting with #4 point in the cap.
