Hi from the land of Oz. I am currently restoring (would you believe it, must be crazy) two spiders a 1976 CS1 and a 1979 CS2, so will be a frequent user of this site.
The big deal here in Oz is converting LH drive to RH drive.
Regards to all other crazy spider owners.

Been there - done that and have the mental scars to prove it.robr wrote:

Each State seems to have their own set of rules on things like Engineers' Reports, Inspections, Roadworthy Certification and so on. The newer your cars are the more Australian Design Rules they have to comply with.
You haven't indicated where on this crusty brown land you call home, but if it's down in my neck of the woods don't hesitate to ask for assistance.

Robr,
You should hook up with the QLD Fiat Club, there is a couple of members who live on the Gold Coast, one I think is a mechanic down there. There are a few Spiders in the club, I went to their meeting in February - a nice crowd of people. I used to be a member of that club 20 years ago when I lived in Brisbane.
Italo Spares in Brisbane ( the Fiat spare parts place ) has just closed down, however all the stock was purchased by Ross Smith at Fiatorque ( Granville ) here in Sydney.

"Our regular monthly club meeting is held at the Italo Australian Centre, Foster St Newmarket, on the first Thursday of every month (January excepted). Most members usually arrive around 6:30 and have a meal together in the Bistro before the meeting gets underway at 8:00."
Regards
