SOCAL-FLU: Sunday, April 13 - Griffith Park

Post by greggl »

A group of interested SoCal-FLU folks are meeting at Griffith Park on Sunday, April 13th.
Meeting time has been set for 12/Noon. We're going to be meeting at the PECAN GROVE
Picnic Area... which is visible from the 134 on Zoo Drive.

Traveling Eastbound on the 101/134
-Exit Victory
-Turn right at top of ramp then quick left into the park.
-Take the first right and you should see the signs

Westbound
-Exit Forest Lawn Drive, takes you directly to it.

I'm bringing my portable grill and will be cooking up some burgers and dogs. I'll bring
some, and depending on the count, we can always run out for more. The park also
has perm installed charcoal grills, according to the website. We're hoping to put together
a very 'kid/family friendly' event... so bring the whole clan.

Laptop for Carlos is ready to go... I'll be handing it off to him at the park.

Hey gang, If you're thinking of not making it, consider this: I'm going to make a batch of my "World Famous Potato Salad".
That's right, the killer potato salad you've all heard about all your lives.
I hope I haven't ruined your sleep for the next few days with this exciting news.

Seems that Carlo Abarth preferred Waldorf Salad... seeing as that he's got a bushel of apples in this pic for some
unknown reason :)

Yep... the dedicated SOCAL-FLU page will also soon have a mailing list feature.. should be ready to go in a few days.

That'll be the 'official' notification method, but we're going to divide up the fiat/lancia internets with folks dedicated
to letting the guys on the various model specific boards know what we're up to.

Hehe... gotta bring in some friends for Hal that understand the joy and pain of having a car with the rust
protection of a fiat and the part costs of a ferrari :)

This was a bit of a last minute event as well... next one will be announced in a few days so we have more
time to get the word out!
