The part on the top photo at left is a protective cover that mounts in the trunk on the left floorboard to protect the lines that go into the gas tank. I don't recognize any of the others.

Keep the photos no more than 750 pixels wide and they won't get chopped off.

1 down...3 to go! Thanks for the response.

I like the trunk floors you cut. Mine are warped. so that is on the "to do' list also. I have the original carpet that is in pretty good shape still.

Are yours simply laid in there. Or are they also screwed down? The trunk re-painted black looks sharp also. Is that paint, under seal?

One other thing. I have the original jack and ratchet handle. I also bought a new rubber hold down. I need a picture of the proper way it fits on the bracket. Currently, mine flex the bracket and bang around as I'm driving.

The trunk paint is just black rattle can stuff, I just touched up what was in there. Doesn't look as good in person as in the picture.

For the life of me I can't remember where I screwed down the boards, but the left one is fixed in place by about 4 screws, the right one is just set in with a tight fit, so you can pull it up easily to get at the spare. I also made a small wooden box which screws down on the right side to hold jack, manuals, etc. Nearly punctured the spare installing it.

You are lucky to have the original jack, handle and mount strap, etc! I don't know how they attach but they sit upon the stack in the right fender well area and are held down by a short rubber strap.

Jay,

It may vary from year to year, but on my 76, and I actually remember back to the distant past, my 72, the gray tool box goes on the driver's side wheel wheel well with a shorter strap. See if you have strap holders on that side.

The second item is the inner shift plate. If you remove the wood on the lower console, that's where you should find one of those. If it isn't there you'll be looking at the top of your transmission. Lot's of noise and heat in the cabin.

Not sure about the other two things, but I'm sure you'll hear from the experts soon.

Well 2 parts down!

I bought a new strap from AutoRicambi. It is shorter than that shown. I have the jack secured in a similar fashion ( no tool kit) but it flexes the support and bangs. I just didn't know if I had it right. I'll lay some foam in there.

On the subject of trunks, my '80 doesn't have a hold down bolt to secure the spare tire. Is there some other method used?

Jay:

I just took a look at your Picasa page. Yikes! My efforts pale in comparison.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

My 80 has no holdown bolt for the spare either. It just fits in there snug. In an accident it might fly around though.

Ditto on the no bolt for the spare tire. When my wife bought her new RVR the spare tire and tools are actually in a Styrofoam insert. It got me to thinking that maybe I could fabricate some sort of inserts for mine as well

the other 3 parts did not come from a spider, at least in my opinion, as i have taken 1000's of fiats apart in my life, i do not recognize any of the other 3 parts. from any fiat.

I've been thinking the same, I have actually bought myself a 15" fiat space saver tyre to give me the room..

I pulled the center console this afternoon. I can't see how that piece works on a 124! There are no holes that match with those on the piece and the circle seems to be to0 small to allow for the full throws of the shifter.

I've never seen that part on a spider. only the far left piece is a spider piece.
