brake booster vacuum hose

Post by westy64 »

hello,
I take the opportunity of the work on Prunette to replace the vacuum brake booster hose.
The one in place used to be a long one, making a loop between the intake manifold and the brake booster, when the two plugs are right in front of each other.
The hose could go straight from the manifold to the booster.
Is there a reason for this hose looping that way ?
Thank you for your help.

the motor mounts are rubber, so there is some movement of the engine when it's under load.

The insert that goes into the Booster was missing the whole thing, The only thing that is there is the Rubber ..
