Latest News on SoCal FLU

Work is slow right now, which makes me extra busy, trying to land more work... gotta
love how that plays out! I was able, however, to get a laptop set up for Carlos, so things
should start progressing quickly with the chapter. We should have him online/here
at the board by the weekend.

We spoke a bit last night about getting together at Griffith Park for another meet&greet/swap
meet and short drive. It seems that its pretty central for everyone that's shown an interest
in the org and shouldn't put too much strain on some of our 'newly acquired' cars 8)

We're thinking about a bit of a 'pot-luck' thing and we'll grill some burgers/dogs, etc.

Details over the next few days, but just as a straw poll... what works better for folks,
Saturday or Sunday?

Hey! Who dropped out? The only excuse I can see as being acceptable is a death in the family: your own!
Seriously, whoever it was, we'll miss your company.

Good centralized location for most of the LA area, nice choice!

Sorry, I won't be there this time. Maureen and I have opted to join the No Frills Ironbutt drive (pre-1975 classic cars) that leaves from Pasadena early on Thursday the 10th, and takes scenic back roads up to Paso Robles for overnight, then on further up toward Frisco the next day, before heading back south again. We're looking forward to the long drive through all the scenic countryside, and meeting some more new folks along the way. Actually, one could do the No Frills ride and be back here for the weekend, so if anybody else is looking for a good excuse to 'be sick' from work, this would be it. I wouldn't worry about the pre-1975 bit. If you've got an old Fiat, you're classic. I'm declining the Griffith Park meeting, though, since I'm committed to sailboat races on Sunday. Catch you next time.

Alvon, your absence will be accepted with sad reluctance.
But hey! We'll try to have fun without you. :D

Just spoke to Carlos.. It looks like we're good for Sunday, the 13th at Noon... Griffith Park.

Going to do a separate posing here in events to get a clear header, etc.
