A 1608 Carb question

71 Coupe came with a Weber DFV 32/36 that seems to match up pretty close to what was stock,(it's not hooked up at present) it also has manual choke. Is this a good starting point for a 1608? It looks fully adjustable
including the chokes. This car has the stock dual plane intake mani which I should change to single plane 1800 style correct? Where should the 1608 head be ported if there is a need to take the head off?
