Anyone got a tip on removing the plastic inserts that connect the master to the hoses for the resevoir? I dont' want to snap
them off, but I'm thinking there's an easier way than 2 screwdrivers prying the sucker out.

Mike,
I have a good photo of the nipple, rubber bushing and master cylinder, but I am having a little trouble with my photobucket account at the moment.
I found this photo of the nipple on one of the Fiat part suppliers website.

It should just pull out. The photo shows the small ridge that holds the nipple in the bushing.

do not try to pry it up by the nipple, it will just break off. take a wide flat screwdriver and carefully pry up on the flange. They do get brittle with age and new ones are cheap.

Davey,
how about a link or clue to the heading of your other thread.
I've taken out the old master and need to reuse the nipples. I believe the rubber bung stays in place and you remove the nipple.
I'll try the wide thick bladed scraper I have with all three hands.

Follow up: Here's what I did. I used a large screwdriver and worked it around the rubber seal at the master. This dislodged a lot of crud and loosened the rubber. Then lifting on the nipple by the angled hose side, I used the flat bladed screwdriver to pry up the opposite side. They popped out fairly easily but with a lot of pull on the hosed nipple first.
