Seat removal

Sorry if this has been asked and answered butI am new to the forum. 79 124 spider. The front seat move back enough to gettothefront bolts but don't move forward enough to access the rear bolts. About three inches or so total travel and seems equal on both seats. Any ideas? Thanks for the help

the rears are a SITA. must slide the seat as far forward as possible. even lift up the lock arm and try to slide it past the last notch a little.

I flipped my seat as far forward as possible (got it to go under the steering wheel) then pushed it forward as far as possible. TIP When putting in new or old make sure to grease/lube the tracks on both seat rails and tracks

The bottom rear seat pops right out, but how does the top (upright) rear come out? Mine are going to the upholsterer shortly. Thanks.

On my car, there is a metal plate at the bottom of the seat, on each side.
These plates are screwed to the body (no bolts). Once you unscrew them, then you can move the seat.

He is President of the Mass Cruisers, the folks who run the Patriot Place cruise night, which is the largest gathering on the East Coast. He did my new top last year and I will gladly let him do the interior in January.
