just wondering if you all have a preference for transmission fluid, and all the other various (non oil) fluids that need to be changed.

opinions please!!

All the fluids are pretty standard except for the tranny. Fiat specifies GL-1 gear lubricant, which is not that easy to find, but NAPA carries it in gallon containers. Really what is most important is that the fluid not have EP additives like all other (non GL-1) gear oil has. I've used 20w50 motor oil for years, as it is about the same viscosity as 90 grade gear oil. Others have used Redline MT90 and liked it, however the danger with synthetics is that they could be too slippery and the synchros may not work as well.

good to know!

i know some people who run redline in their bikes, but it seems to be a pain to find the stuff here.

i think im going to make my own gear lubricant in my bathtub. vaseline and water. cant go wrong :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
