carb problems
carb problems
Hi, I have a 1978 spider and it only seems to run if the fuel/air screw is all the way in, any advise would be great, thanks
Re: carb problems
What's the idle screw position? maybe has to do with that?
go to this page and look at the first pdf book, http://www.artigue.com/fiat/ it has a section about setting the carb tuning. says to set to factory positions and then go from there. unless you're already doing that. Then your jets might be wrong. unless you have a vacuum leak.

Re: carb problems
without knowing more info about circumstances, the carb may be flooding due to a bad float or leaking needle and seat.

Hi
have you checked the idle cut off soleniod? car won't idle when they are bad.

Re: carb problems
the idle cutoff solenoid couldn't be his issue since it will run if the mixture screw is closed completely
