Been trying to remove this for a while. Penetrant. Iimpact gun. Huge breaker bar against body and hit starter. Heat. It will not budge. Anyone got any more tricks? On to text me at 5034237906

2 breaker bars, one with chain wrench on the pulley, one with socket on the ctrank nut. Use iron pipe extensions (4 feet was enough for my car) Got teenage son to steady the chain wrench and apply alternate force so pulley didn't move while I torqued off the nut. LOTS of torque required, maybe 200 ft-lbs or maybe even more since it was so corroded on there, but it finally let go with a little "click" and spun right off. When going back on, 183 ft-lbs is the correct setting.

Easier with radiator out.

Got it off. Shoved abouut 10 feet of thin nylon rope into no1 chamber. Breaker bar broke it free

I'm surprised the starter motor method did not work, mine did first go after failing other methods (I couldn't get hold of a Chain wrench)

didnt even budge it. smelled like I toasted my starter though so Im nervous about what that might be like when I put everything back together. All in all good progress was made today. After finally getting that nut removed we changed the 3 front seals. 2 of them were also hell to remove but after much futzing around we got em. The crank pulley has quite a deep groove in it so Im going to order a new one before putting the belts etc back on.

There are two hole sizes in these crank pulleys. Don't remember the numbers, but they're only 2-3mm different. Easily confused with visual inspection, but certainly not interchangeable. Also many different diameters and offsets. Just be careful when replacing.
