The broken off end (ie fuel pump lobe) off the auxiliary shaft. The timing belt broke, or someone misaligned the aux shaft pulley. You are lucky it did not broke the block! Actually you better check they did not JB parts of it back together...

Thanks Csaba.I had a feeling it was off the aux shaft.I am not near the car so I will let them know that they need to get that block checked before building it up!

Re: Look what I found in my oil pan????
Want a bit of a positive news... it is off the aux shaft, but after the second support bearing surface. It is not too far from where I cut the ends of the aux shaft off on the FI car.
The aux shaft might be fine if you are using an electric pump as the back of the shaft is supported but you will have to pull the shaft regardless and drill and plug the oil galley in the end of the aux shaft. Some drill and tap and plug some just drill and plug with same size as what is in your hand.

Re: Look what I found in my oil pan????
I sent them a email re. that shaft not really being a internal issue.I know many have ground or cut that lobe off.It will be a electrtic pump,so it wont be used.As long as the block is good we should be ok,as a lot of internals are being replaced.Might pay to have it magnafluxed.Good tip re. the oil galley,I had forgotten about that.
