oil pressure indication
hello all; on my '74 spider i have an oil pressure light that works(or seems to), but my gage reads zero all the time. are there 2 separate senders for these functions? there is a little 'can' looking sender down by the oil filter and 2 senders in the valley between the cam boxes. can someone clue me in please? this car is modern in comparison to the '76 austin and the '78 midget i'm used to working on. thanks.

Re: oil pressure indication
Yes, two separate circuits for this critical item. The "can" sensor near the oil filter is for the gage, the smaller sensor adjacent is the pressure failure switch. Both are available from the vintage Fiat parts suppliers you see referenced on this forum.
Re: oil pressure indication
the senders in the cylinder head are water temp senders. Both oil pressure senders are mounted on the oil filter adapter
