Hi (1976 Fiat 124 Spider),
I'm having trouble accelerating when I hit 4000-4500 rpm. Also, I'm having trouble with it stalling when it hasn't warmed up.. it's lurching and stalling. I HAVE replaced the fuel pump. I even had a relay switch installed that switches the pump to direct power from the battery when I turn the key because it wasn't getting enough power. I was told the problem's likely the 'fuel pressure regulator.' I tried to find one online, and only found what is said to be compatible but don't know if it's the same device. I was told it's the small yellow 'fire hydrant-looking' piece that's sitting behind my fuel tank in the trunk, next to the fuel pump. I don't know if this is correct, and I don't know what to do. Please help!
Thanks,
David

Re: Fuel problem =(
I know your thinking fuel but have you checked the timing?

Re: Fuel problem =(
Timing was just set, idle was adjusted, Ignition system has been replaced (ignition coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condensors), carb was just rebuilt, battery is new, intake manifold gasket just replaced, just passed smog with flying colors, oil just changed, fuel tank is clean, most fuel hoses just replaced, compression is good, fuses are good.

Also, this is the fuel pump I am using.. wondering if there is a way to adjust the psi? I'm wondering if it's turned up all the way?
