In hopes of getting to my horns I removed the washer fluid bottle, never once used it :lol:

What the hell is this on the bottom of the washer fluid bottle? :?

The pump. two spade conectors by the looks of it. There should be a spot for the hose to the squirt thingys on the cowling. Never used the squirters I guess. Anything like that (wires,hose) floating around down there?

hmmmmmm :? then what is this? :shock:

the hose coming out at the right of the cylinder goes into the wiper fluid container

Looks like an aftermarket pump put in when the origanal one quit.

I took my washer bottle out too. Never used it.

Not wanting to be a killjoy but an operable windscreen washer system is law over here.
Can't get a car passed as road worthy without it.

Truthfully, I have no idea if it is the same here :? Either way I am keeping all the parts etc so that if I ever sell her I will not leave the next owner unprepared :wink:

Washer has never been checked in my lifetime as part of Mass state inspection here.

Hi Jay,

My washer pump didn't work either. I found a replacement at Partsource for about $20.

A little fiddly, but it's pretty easy job. I sealed it inside and out with some windshield silicon sealant. That was about 9 months ago, and no (appparent) leaks.

Thanks Michael, I have a working pump (see above photo). I was surprised to see this second one attached to the container (which ended up being the original). Either way, the bottle is out and will remain that way until needed.
