Does this look ok? Noticed it after removing my fuel line today.Pretty sure it didnt happen when removing the line.Does anyone know the size of the hard fuel feed line?If it is do-able I might try and replace it.

Craig, if you can , with a plumbers cutter cut the end off, slide the fitting back over and then flare the tube again. Flaring tool was about $14-25 here.
There is usually enough room on the soft line to make up the missing inch or so. If the soft line does end up with a kink, might have to lengthen it as well.

Or you could cut it off and use a new rubber FI hose, and just slip it over the metal line. Use 2 FI style clamps. I've done it many times, never had a leak, even after years and years.

Re: fuel line for f.i. car
Thank you Csaba. That seems a very easy fix.Would you cut a length of hose to go all the way to the fuel rail and clamp it there? That threaded piece was very tough to get off!

No Giulio..not yet.The entire fuel rail is out of the car and at OK Injectors for refurbishing.I will wait until I have the results from the flow test to decide what to do next.I noticed the small crimp in the hard line when I was removing the fuel line.

Re: fuel line for f.i. car
Yes, that way you will have a brand new hose the whole length. Be sure to use FI rated hose! We sell it, and local auto parts stores usually sell them in 18" lengths. You need 5/16".ga.spyder wrote:Thank you Csaba. That seems a very easy fix.Would you cut a length of hose to go all the way to the fuel rail and clamp it there?

Re: fuel line for f.i. car
Craig,
I got all my fuel injector line from PepBoys auto (I think they are in GA?). They sell it by the foot. I replaced all my hard lines with fuel injector hose from tank to rail and return.
