Man that is the first I have heard about the rear chamber in the transmission, and the square drain plug. Thanks for sharing that! No wonder it filled up before reaching the volume I expected. Now I will be haunted by the thought that I need to go back and do it again to be sure I got all the old fluid out, which may be the improper type from PO. If I pull just the square plug, I guess only the amount in that section would drain, but then again, whatever was left in there at the last change has mixed with all the rest of the fluid so I guess it all has to come out.

That is what we have been using in our Lemons racer. It is safe for our cars, and has stood up to a good bit of abuse in the racer.I am going to use it in my street Spider on the next change.

Good to know, thanks Craig. Hoping to do this sometime this week. Anybody have any good photos of fill plug along with sizes for fill & drain plugs?

I am due for a gearbox lube change before winter and might give either the MT90 or motor oil a try. I have always used a home grown contraption to lube the gearbox consisting of a couple of tubes, mason jar and air fitting. I fill the jar, then crack about 5 to 10 psi in the line and it fills the gearbox nicely. I need to replace the mason jar with something safer though. It might be time to just buy a HF pump and be done with the contraption.
