remove the bracket and place in a vise. Open the angle next to the block slightly, close the angle near the slot slightly. This moves the bracket away from the trigger unit

Mark,
It's in and it sounds great. Looks great too. Thanks to the person at your shop who was answering phones today, he was a big help, especially with the oil pump / gear issue. Zip ties and clean up tomorrow, finish the brakes and hopefully on the road Sunday.
