Hole in exhaust pipe.
I've developed a hole in my Y pipe about the size of a quarter. Is it okay to drive it this weekend to a car show? I haven't had time to work on the poor thing!

Mine had a hole there, I put a piece of tin over it and a hose clamp about a year later hit a bump and the thing broke off and drug on the ground
So my 2 cents, if you are gonna use it, put something there to reinforce it just a bit.

Re: Hole in exhaust pipe.
Oreilleys / autozone has a product called "tiger tape" or something dumb like that.
It's a fiberglass tape, self-adhering, that is designed to "fix" exactly what you're describing.
I wouldn't call it anything more than a band-aid, but should get you to your show and back, I would think.
The real danger, of course, is not damaging something on the car, but rather that the exhaust will rise into the cabin. And it will. And it;ll sit there.... it won;t rise because of the flow of air over the top of it when you;re moving.
