I just replaced the seal in my distributor. I found mine much more difficult then this video suggests. The pin holding the gear on the shaft was a problem to remove. My pin had a head on one side and had been punch set on the other. It was more like a rivet than a simple pin. it would move back and forth with a punch and hammer but both ends were too big to pass through the shaft. I had to grind the edge of the pin to remove the wide part with a miniature high speed grinding tool. Still the pin was difficult to drive out and to replace after the seal was replaced. I don't know if the pins are an available part but if they are I would buy one with the seal if the pin gets damaged removing or replacing you would be unable to complete your repair.

Remember to: Set timing mark on top center. mark your distributor body to cam cover, mark the position of the rotor first where it points setting fully in cam box and then where it points when it disengages from the cam gear. Aligning the marks when replacing distributor will save time.

All said and done the repair was successful just much harder than I expected.
