Both of my manuals stated 180 ish, When I get home in the morning I will double check. I torqued mine to 180ish with no problem. This is the big nut that holds crank pulley and timing gear in place. 1 1/2" socket is what I used.

I would agree with 181 ft lbs. Just changed my timing belt today and checked two different manuals for the specs.

Yes it is the pulley that runs the alternator etc and that is the size of the nut... Okay and thanks for info. psg

My Haynes manual states 181 ft/lbs.
Not 80.

and mine is a 38mm. (which is something like 1.49" )
I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!

I have rechecked my manual so tell me where you are looking as I must be referencing the wrong part or just a completely different addition... I am used to being lost but I like to know how it happened. thanks. psg
