Is it wise to just go in and replace a single bearing? It seems to me that if one is bad, another is soon to follow.

Also, my car sat for 3 months without the transmission moving, might this have dried up the bearing and caused the noise? Will getting some fresh fluid on it do anything for me?

I don't think that sitting for 3 months would cause any damage. My car probably sat for 4 years without moving much, although I was told it was started regularly. But I'm not an expert. Fresh oil certainly won't hurt.

From what I've been reading, you should replace what needs to be replaced, but since you're in there already, why not change what you can afford. Ideally, replacing all moving parts would be best. :)
