Clutch cable with pics

So I am positive note after 3 hours by myself I was able to get the engine/tranny back in the car.

On a less than happy note, by clutch cable no longer seems to work and I am stumped even after reading a 100 or so posts (not many with pictures). So...someone tell me what wrong. My pedal springs are good. Cable slides nicely....what am I missing?

From my phone, so forgive shortness.
The cable should route through a hole in the bell housing that provides a stop for the outer jacket. It does not look like yours is routed that way.

Hard to tell what I am looking at there....esp the 2nd pic...
IN the first pic it doesn't look like the housing is secured to anything...
Don't have my fiat or any books here right now. MAybe better pics?
At least we know it's got plenty of blue goo holding it together.
