Maryland-hello
I'm in Frederick, MD and looking to purchase a Fiat Spider this Spring. Have looked at a couple so far, but haven't found the right one yet. Looking forward to being involved here once I find the right car. Thanks for hosting this site.

Re: Maryland-hello
Howdy to ya J. You show commendable restraint, looking for just the right one. If you didn't already know, there are several very good buying guides here and elsewhere online to help you know what to look for (and look out for) when going over a potential Spider. Good luck in your search, hope you find just the right one.
Welcome to the site.

Thanks, I've already downloaded the buying guide and have found it very helpful.

Re: Maryland-hello
Welcome, J.
There are a lot of resources in the DC area at your disposal. See my Reply in "Help; I don't know where to start" posting in this section. Maryland has a favorable "Historic" tag policy, so you don't need to restrict your search to very early models to avoid running afoul of emissions and safety regulations. Good luck with your search, and let us know how you make out.

Welcome neighbor!
We're down on the eastern shore. Good luck with your search!
We recently joined and find this site an excellent source of
information. I'm a pot-calling-the-kettle-black when I say this,
but take alot of 'before' and 'after' pictures once you find yours.
We did not do that but sure wish we did.

Re: Maryland-hello
First let me say this site is great. Since I dragged my '82 Spider home at the end of March, I've learned so much from you folks, I can't tell you how greatful I am. Thought I'd share before, during, and after shots as we got the body looking a little better. Mechanically, not too bad so far. A new gas tank, rear calipers, and a couple other things have gotten her on the road nicely. I'm doing a rolling restoration of the interior. Thanks again for all the help.

Thanks. In some respects it's sort of like me....aging better on the outside than the inside. Hahaha.

Very nice J. At first I thought "he changed the beautiful blue to something else?" But I do like that green, especially with the tan interior. Good work, gotta love those '82s.
